NCT ID NCT06565910
First seen Mar 30, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tests whether a long-acting numbing drug (liposomal bupivacaine) plus a standard numbing medicine works better than the usual numbing medicine (ropivacaine) for pain after hip replacement. About 60 adults with hip fractures or hip damage will receive one of the two treatments as a nerve block before surgery. Researchers will track pain levels, opioid use, and side effects for 72 hours after surgery to see which approach provides better pain relief.
