Heart surgery pain battle: freezing nerves vs. numbing block

NCT ID NCT06086535

Summary

This study compared two methods for managing severe pain after minimally invasive heart surgery. Researchers observed 63 adult patients to see if freezing the nerves between the ribs (cryoanalgesia) or injecting a numbing medication (BRILMA block) worked better. The goal was to find which technique provided longer and more effective pain relief in the days following surgery.
