New pain spray tested for faster recovery after surgery

NCT ID NCT07268495

Summary

This study is testing if a combination of a lidocaine spray applied inside the abdomen during surgery and lidocaine given through an IV can better control pain after laparoscopic fibroid removal. It aims to see if this approach reduces moderate-to-severe pain in the first 24 hours, improves sleep and recovery quality, and reduces the need for other pain medications. The trial will enroll 100 women undergoing this specific surgery.
