New Pain-Blocking technique tested for Women's surgery recovery

NCT ID NCT06429163

Summary

This study tested whether injecting local anesthetic during laparoscopic fibroid removal surgery could reduce pain afterward. Researchers compared three approaches in 207 women: standard pain medication alone, medication plus injections at incision sites, and medication plus injections at both incision sites and a deeper nerve bundle. The goal was to see which method provided better pain relief in the first 24 hours after surgery.
