Summary
This study compared two methods for managing pain after planned colon or rectal surgery. Researchers tested a newer nerve-block injection (TAP block) against the traditional epidural to see which better controlled pain and improved recovery. The trial involved 200 adults undergoing surgery for conditions like cancer or diverticulitis.
