New pain block may cut opioid use after chest surgery

Summary
This study tests two different pain-relief methods for people having chest surgery with a camera. One method is a nerve block injection near the ribs, and the other is a spinal injection of morphine. The goal is to see which approach reduces the need for strong painkillers and improves recovery. The study will enroll 60 adults aged 18 to 75.
