C-Section pain relief showdown: spinal shot vs. ultrasound block

NCT ID NCT07374133

Summary

This study compared two common methods for managing pain after a planned cesarean section (C-section). Researchers looked at 60 women to see whether a morphine injection in the spine or an ultrasound-guided nerve block in the abdomen worked better. The main goal was to see which method resulted in fewer women needing extra pain medication during the first 24 hours after surgery, while also tracking side effects and recovery quality.
