New nerve block technique tested for better C-Section pain relief

NCT ID NCT07137208

Summary

This study compared two different nerve block techniques for pain relief after cesarean delivery. Researchers tested whether a newer bilevel erector spinae plane (ESP) block provides better pain control than the more common transversus abdominis plane (TAP) block. The trial involved 90 healthy pregnant women having planned C-sections, with the goal of finding which method reduces pain medication needs most effectively.
