New nerve block combo could ease Post-Surgery pain
NCT ID NCT05385523
Summary
This study tested whether adding one of two extra drugs (dexmedetomidine or dexamethasone) to a standard numbing injection (bupivacaine) could provide better and longer-lasting pain relief after breast cancer surgery. It involved 70 adult women undergoing a specific type of mastectomy. The goal was to see which drug combination worked best to reduce pain and the need for strong painkillers like morphine after the operation.
