New study tests simpler pain relief for breast cancer surgery

NCT ID NCT06490718

Summary

This study compared two methods for managing pain after major breast cancer surgery. Researchers tested whether an intravenous lidocaine drip works as well as an ultrasound-guided nerve block injection for helping patients recover comfortably. The trial involved 80 women undergoing mastectomy or similar procedures to see which approach provided better pain control and recovery quality.
