Simple injection could ease pain after common Women's surgery

NCT ID NCT07429019

Summary

This study is testing if a numbing medicine (bupivacaine) injected at the end of a bladder sling surgery helps reduce pain after the operation. It will involve 60 women getting the surgery and compare the numbing shot to a placebo (saltwater) shot. Researchers will track pain levels and painkiller use for up to six months to see if the injection prevents short-term and long-lasting pain.
