First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 08, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at three different ways to manage pain after lower back surgery. The goal is to find which method works best and reduces the need for strong painkillers like opioids. Researchers will use a simple saliva test to measure the body's natural pain-fighting response. About 84 adults having elective lumbar fixation surgery will take part.
