New study aims to find best pain block for back surgery patients

Summary
This study compares two types of ultrasound-guided nerve blocks to see which provides better pain relief after lower back surgery. About 80 adults having elective lumbar instrumentation will receive either an Erector Spinae Plane Block or a Quadro-Iliac Plane Block. The main goal is to measure how much pain medication they need in the first 48 hours after surgery and how quickly they recover.
