First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a single shot of a numbing medicine (ropivacaine) near the nerves can lower pain and the need for narcotic pain pills in children after ACL knee surgery. About 160 kids aged 13 and older will be randomly assigned to get either the nerve block or no block during surgery. Their pain and pill use will be tracked for one week after the operation.
