New warming gel tested against common pain relievers

NCT ID NCT07475663

Summary

This study tested whether a gel containing piroxicam plus warming/cooling ingredients works as well as two standard anti-inflammatory gels for short-term muscle and joint pain. 180 adults with conditions like ankle sprains, back pain, or knee arthritis used one of the three gels for about 6 days. Researchers measured pain relief and safety to see if the combination gel was equally effective.
