Can a single class change how future therapists view pain?

NCT ID NCT06821022

Summary

This study tested whether a special lecture on the neuroscience of pain could change how physical therapy students think about and approach patients with chronic pain. 120 students in Jordan were randomly assigned to either receive this special pain science lecture or a standard lecture on warning signs for serious back problems. Researchers then measured changes in the students' knowledge, attitudes, and what treatments they would recommend for a sample patient.
