First seen Mar 17, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests whether a combination of non-opioid pain medicines works as well as fentanyl for children aged 5-10 with mild to moderate sleep apnea who are having their tonsils and adenoids removed. The goal is to control pain with fewer breathing problems and side effects. Sixty-four children will be randomly assigned to receive either fentanyl or an opioid-free mix, and their pain will be measured using a standard scale.
