Numbing shot could cut opioid use after nose jobs

NCT ID NCT06989866

Summary

This study is testing whether a long-acting numbing medicine injected during nose surgery can help patients use fewer opioid pain pills afterward. 50 patients having nose surgery will be randomly assigned to receive either the numbing injection or a placebo (saltwater) injection. Researchers will track how many opioid pills patients use and their pain levels for one week after surgery.
