New pain relief combo tested for colon surgery recovery

NCT ID NCT06007378

Summary

This study tested two different ways to improve pain control after minimally invasive colon surgery. Researchers compared adding either a low dose of ketamine or a fentanyl skin patch to a standard ultrasound-guided nerve block. The goal was to see which combination provided longer-lasting pain relief and reduced the need for extra pain medication after surgery.
