New nerve blocks aim to reduce pain and speed recovery after hip surgery
NCT ID NCT07442721
Summary
This study compares two different nerve block techniques to manage pain after hip replacement surgery for hip fractures. Researchers want to see which method provides better pain relief while preserving leg muscle strength to help patients move sooner. The study involves 80 elderly patients who will receive either a sacral erector spinae plane block or a pericapsular nerve group block along with their standard anesthesia.
