Gallbladder surgery pain: which nerve block works best?

Summary

This study aims to find out which of two common nerve-blocking techniques is better at managing pain after gallbladder removal surgery. Sixty adult patients will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two ultrasound-guided injections before their operation. Researchers will then measure their pain levels, need for opioid painkillers, and recovery quality over the first 24 hours after surgery.
