New pain block combo could slash opioid use after surgery
NCT ID NCT07432256
Summary
This study tested if using two specific nerve blocks together is better than one for managing pain after breast reduction surgery. Researchers compared three groups of 90 patients: one with no nerve block, one with a single block, and one with a combination of two blocks. The main goal was to see if the combination could reduce the need for strong opioid painkillers in the first day after surgery.
