New nerve block challenge: which method cuts back surgery pain best?
NCT ID NCT07480278
Summary
This study aims to find the better method for managing pain after a common back surgery called lumbar microdiscectomy. Researchers will compare two ultrasound-guided nerve-block techniques given before surgery to see which one reduces the need for opioid painkillers and improves recovery in the first 48 hours. The trial will involve 80 adults scheduled for this surgery to measure pain levels, medication use, and overall recovery quality.
