Nerve block showdown: finding the best path to less pain after spine surgery
NCT ID NCT07166900
Summary
This study aims to find which of two specific nerve block techniques works better to control pain and improve the quality of recovery in the first day after lumbar spine surgery. Researchers will compare a modified thoracolumbar interfascial plane (TLIP) block to an erector spinae (ES) block in 64 patients. Both are ultrasound-guided injections meant to numb the surgical area and reduce the need for strong pain medications after the operation.
