Doctors test best way to block pain after keyhole surgery
NCT ID NCT07352189
Summary
This study tested two different ways to numb the abdominal area after keyhole surgery to see which one better controls pain. Doctors compared using an ultrasound machine to guide the numbing injection versus using the surgical camera (laparoscope) to guide it. They measured patients' pain levels and their need for additional painkillers during the first day after surgery.
