New pain block could ease recovery after complex neck surgery
NCT ID NCT06721832
Summary
This study tested whether a specific nerve block, given during surgery, could reduce pain and help patients breathe better after a major neck spine operation. Fifty adults having this type of surgery were randomly assigned to receive either the new nerve block or standard care. Researchers measured pain levels, opioid painkiller use, and how well the diaphragm muscle moved after surgery.
