New nerve block tested to ease agony after major liver surgery

NCT ID NCT07233083

Summary

This study is testing whether a specific nerve block, given at the end of liver transplant surgery, helps control pain better during recovery. Researchers will compare 60 patients who receive the block to those who do not, measuring how much strong pain medication they need and their pain levels. The goal is to find a safer, more effective way to manage pain after this major operation.
