First seen Dec 16, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested two different nerve blocks—posterior quadratus lumborum block and transversalis fascia plane block—to see which provides better pain relief for children aged 1 to 7 years undergoing orchiopexy (testicle surgery). Researchers measured how long it took before children needed extra pain medicine and their pain scores over 24 hours. The goal was to find the most effective way to manage pain after surgery in young children.
