New study aims to find better pain relief for lung cancer surgery patients

Summary

This study compares two types of nerve blocks (costotransverse foramen block and thoracic paravertebral block) to control pain after lung cancer surgery. The goal is to see which method reduces the need for morphine and provides longer pain relief. About 70 adults undergoing thoracotomy will be enrolled.
