New nerve block tested to ease agony of chest surgery
NCT ID NCT07367581
Summary
This study compares two different nerve block techniques to manage pain after major chest surgery for lung cancer. Researchers want to see if a newer method called costotransverse foramen block works as well as or better than the standard thoracic paravertebral block. The trial involves 70 adult patients undergoing thoracotomy surgery in Egypt, measuring pain levels and medication needs after the procedure.
