First seen Jan 21, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study compares two types of nerve blocks (classic vs. modified) to control pain after lumbar spine surgery. About 60 adults aged 18-70 having single-level back surgery will receive one of the two blocks. Researchers will measure how much opioid pain medicine patients need and their pain scores over 24 hours to see which block works better.
