NCT ID NCT07306806

First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looked at 30 boys aged 1-8 years having hypospadias repair surgery. They received either a caudal block (near the tailbone) or a dorsal penile nerve block (near the penis) for pain relief. The caudal block worked better in the first few hours after surgery and reduced the need for extra pain medicine, but it delayed when the boys could start walking. Both methods were safe and effective.
