New study tests which nerve block works better for hernia pain

NCT ID NCT07163026

Summary

This study aims to find which of two established nerve block techniques provides better pain relief after open hernia repair surgery. Researchers will compare two methods—one injected near the spine and one near the ribs—in 50 patients. The goal is to reduce post-surgery pain, nausea, and vomiting, and to see which method leads to less need for strong painkillers in the first day.
