NCT ID NCT07527065

First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study compares two ultrasound-guided pain blocks (TAP block and quadratus lumborum block) given before open inguinal hernia repair under spinal anesthesia. 70 adults aged 18-65 will be randomly assigned to one block, and their pain scores and opioid use will be tracked for 24 hours after surgery. The goal is to see which block provides better pain relief and reduces the need for strong painkillers.
