Summary
This study tested two different numbing injections (erector spinae plane block and thoracic paravertebral block) in 120 adults having gallbladder removal surgery. The goal was to see which one better reduces the need for opioid painkillers in the first 24 hours after surgery. Researchers measured pain scores and how much rescue pain medicine was needed.
