New nerve block technique tested to reduce Post-Surgery pain
NCT ID NCT04827030
Summary
This study compared two different nerve block techniques for pain relief after breast cancer surgery. Researchers tested whether a newer method (erector spinae block) works as well as the standard method (paravertebral block) at reducing pain and the need for morphine after surgery. The trial involved 292 women undergoing breast cancer surgery to see which approach provided better pain control in the first 24 hours after their operation.
