New pain block study aims to ease recovery after belly surgery

Summary

This study compares two types of nerve blocks to control pain after abdominal surgery. Sixty adults having surgery through a midline belly cut will receive either a modified thoracoabdominal nerve block or a rectus sheath block. The goal is to see which method provides better pain relief and reduces the need for extra pain medication.
