Study tests best way to block pain after lung surgery
NCT ID NCT05618210
Summary
This study compared two different nerve-blocking techniques to see which one better manages pain and reduces the need for opioid painkillers after a specific type of lung surgery. It involved 76 adults who had a minimally invasive lung lobe removal. Patients were randomly assigned to receive one of the two ultrasound-guided nerve blocks before their surgery to help control pain afterward.
