New nerve block technique aims to cut painkiller use after surgery
NCT ID NCT06663345
Summary
This study compared two types of nerve blocks used to manage pain after keyhole gallbladder removal surgery. Researchers tested whether a newer block (QLB-1) provided better pain relief and reduced the need for strong opioid painkillers compared to a more common block (TAP). The goal was to find the best method to control pain while minimizing side effects like nausea and vomiting.
