New study tests which nerve block works best to ease pain after chest surgery
NCT ID NCT07073495
Summary
This study observed 60 patients after minimally invasive chest surgery to see which of two nerve-blocking techniques worked better for pain relief. Doctors compared the Edge Laminar Block (ELB) and the Serratus Posterior Superior Intercostal Plane Block (SPSIPB). The goal was to find which method better reduced pain scores and the need for strong opioid painkillers after surgery.
