Mind over pain: how fear of movement changes your Body's stance
NCT ID NCT06669767
Summary
This study aimed to understand how thinking about painful activities affects the body's posture and muscle tension in people with chronic low back pain. Researchers compared 34 people, some with back pain and some without, by showing them pictures of everyday painful situations and measuring their balance, muscle activity, and heart rate. The goal was to see if the fear of movement (kinesiophobia) is linked to physical changes when anticipating pain.
