New painkiller aims to cut opioid use after knee surgery

Summary

This study looks at whether a long-acting painkiller called Bupivacaine-Meloxicam can help people who have robot-assisted knee replacement surgery. About 150 adults with knee osteoarthritis will take part. The goal is to see if this medicine reduces pain and the need for opioid painkillers in the first 3 days after surgery.
