First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study followed 204 adults who had chest surgery to see how their pain in the weeks after surgery affected their recovery. Researchers tracked pain levels and asked patients about their quality of recovery using a standard questionnaire. The goal was to find out which pain patterns lead to incomplete healing, so doctors can better identify and help patients at risk.
