NCT ID NCT00993408

Summary

This study tested a new oral medication called ACT-293987 for adults with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH), a serious condition causing high blood pressure in the lungs. It first checked the drug's immediate effects on heart and lung pressures, then gave it to some participants twice daily for 21 weeks to see if it was safe and helped improve blood flow and walking distance compared to a placebo.
