New blood filter shows promise for liver failure patients

Summary
This study tests a blood-filtering treatment called DPMAS for people with severe liver failure. The goal is to see if it can lower the risk of death or worsening disease within weeks. About 1300 adults with chronic liver disease and high bilirubin levels are taking part. Researchers will also collect blood, urine, and stool samples to better understand who benefits most.
