Hidden circulation threat in cancer patients exposed

NCT ID NCT05754944

Summary

This study aims to find out how common poor leg circulation (peripheral arterial disease or PAD) is in older cancer patients who have risk factors like diabetes or smoking. Researchers are checking 114 patients aged 65+ before major cancer surgery to see if they have PAD, which is not routinely tested for. The goal is to understand if this condition affects cancer treatment outcomes and if diagnosis rates differ between racial groups.
