Pacemaker 'Exercise' may boost heart function
NCT ID NCT06332391
First seen Apr 03, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tests whether a special pacing pattern can give heart failure patients some of the benefits of exercise without actually exercising. 52 adults with a weak heart and an existing pacemaker will receive either the pacing pattern or a sham (fake) treatment for 6 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in heart function, quality of life, and exercise ability over one year to see if this approach could become a future therapy.
