Pacifier timing may boost feeding skills in premature babies

NCT ID NCT07273266

First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looks at whether giving a pacifier to preterm infants at set times (5 minutes before each feeding) or at random times (for 30 minutes anytime) helps them feed more maturely. Researchers will track feeding coordination, weight gain, and hospital stay length. About 62 clinically stable preterm infants will take part.
