Could a simple pacemaker adjustment improve life for heart amyloidosis patients?

NCT ID NCT07413081

First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study looks at whether increasing the pacemaker's lower rate can improve quality of life and daily function in people with cardiac amyloidosis, a condition where the heart becomes thick and stiff. About 34 participants who already have a pacemaker will be randomly assigned to a higher or standard rate, then switch. The goal is to see if a faster baseline heart rate helps them feel better and walk farther.
