New heart procedure aims to cut deaths and hospital stays for AFib patients with heart failure

Summary

This study compares a new heart procedure (pacing and ablation) to standard medication for people with heart failure and permanent atrial fibrillation. The goal is to see if the procedure lowers the risk of death, heart failure hospitalizations, or worsening heart failure over 3 years. About 334 adults with specific heart function and symptom criteria will participate.
