New combo therapy aims to boost lung cancer treatment success

Summary
This study tests a new way to give radiation therapy (using PET scans to target smaller areas) along with standard chemo and an immunotherapy drug (durvalumab) for people with stage III lung cancer that cannot be removed by surgery. About 110 adults will be randomly assigned to either the new radiation approach or standard radiation, both with chemo and durvalumab. The goal is to see if the new approach helps more people complete the full treatment plan and reduces side effects.
